New Rules for Series III
Development and prep for the SoulStorm Brew Super Series III have already confirmed an couple of new rules. These rules generally impact MVPs in our league. The biggest of which sees the loss of exclusivity from MVPs. When questioned about this new rule the league sponsor said ''who doesn't want to see more super stars in our games? Plus can you imagine how an tense its going to be to see orx play a corporation team with one of their MVPs?'' Can't ait to see how this impacts the game and league strategies for the team managers and coaches.
But let's not forget that there is still two thirds of Series II left to play.

Round 2
Round 2 saw the Humdingers make the trip to play the BeauBro Medina Sod. The Veer-myn fans are are something else at their home ground and this was evident throughout. The Medina Sod went out in full attack to take down the Hulk Guard. At one point they succeeded in injuring the big man for two turns. But it is hard to keep the man down who returned to killing ways cleaning out Ratowski. However you can't win the game on kills alone. Points mean prizes and the Veer-myn scored 5 points throughout the game. Nevertheless the Hobgoblin's manged to bring the score down to 3 points to the Medina Sod.
Veer-myns did not grieve long for the fallen guard as Ratowski will return to play the GAWANS in the next game.
In other games this round the Flying Dutchmen and GAWANS picked up an MVP each to add more excitement to their bout. Fan favourite Schnorkel the Avenger sat on the bench for the Nameless spawn whilst Grak joined an under-Judwaned team and played a strong round. Alas! it was not enough to hold off defeat from a fluke-y Flying Dutchmen team. The final score was +1 to the Flying Dutchmen who now have a stronghold on 1st place in the SoulStorm Brew Super Series II.

And. Here. We. Go.
It all Kicked off for the SoulStorm Brew Super Series II this week as the match listings were drawn. In round one we saw the Medina Sod play at home to the Flying Dutchmen and the GAWANS host the Humdingers. Both games were classics for their various reasons....
The Medina Sod v Flying Dutchmen game saw Future-Hall-Of-Famer Fievil Mousekewtiz one the game (and league) with a stunning 3 point strike. The game sat at plus three for the rest of the game. After a lot of injuries and a missed strike from the Medina Sod, the Flying Dutchmen took the opportunity to strike in the dying seconds of the final rush. 4 points in the bag saw the score margin swing in their favour ending the match +1 to the Flying Dutchmen.
Medina Sod's head coach had this to say " fair play to the Dutchmen beating us in the final seconds of the game. Its a hard loss to take but we showed how strong we are early in the game and will take the positives into the next round."
Whilst the Flying Dutchmen's coach simply said "it was the best game I've ever played."
However on the other side of league the Humdingers made their way to GAWANS turf. A slight mistake in the starting formation of the GAWANS saw the Humdingers really go to town on the team, with plenty of injuries the GAWANS suffered a great loss. No less than 5 of their starting line up received fatal injuries leaving their coach at a loss with what to do before the next round. However they did mange to score enough times to win 6+. Perhaps the Humdingers coach needs to focus more on scoring next time. He may have killed 5 players but he still lost the game.
Round 2 has a lot to live up to. But with MVPs likely to make an appearance it should be another classic.

Guess Who's Back
Somewhere out there someone was saying a prayer and it looks like the BeauBro Medina Sod Verr-myn team have returned to the SoulStorm Brew Super Series II.
Their coach said this, "Finishing first runner up last year showed us what we can do. Now all we need to do is win this league."
Their team is reportedly very unchanged, meaning future Hall of Famer, Fievel Mousekewitz the only player in the SoulStorm Brew Super Series to die, be resurrected and score in his returning game, is set to light up the arena once again.
Medina Sod, welcome back.

On the eve of the SoulStorm Brew Super Series II the Ultimate Dreadball show took place. Judging by the game it looks like the Corporation team are pre-season favourites with the Nameless Spawn a close second. Its still early days but things are really hotting up.

SoulStorm Brew Super Series II
SoulStorm Brew Super Series II looks keen to kick off early within the next 6 months and rumours are beginning to circulate around who will be entered into the league. It is expected that SSBSS I winners, the Central City Speedsters, will return as strong as ever. But the big news is whether the Judwan or Terton teams will make a return as their owner has embarked on a year expedition on the Else Worlds. Who knows? All we know is that there is a new team taking on the big guns and doing well against them in the friendlies and charity matches. Only time will tell.

Medina Sod... "It was the unluckiest win ever."
After a long wait we can finally see the conclusion of the SoulStorm Brew Super Series. The legal teams are no long at play... Only Dreadball teams.
The Red Gut Gorgers played away to fan favourites, the BeauBro Medina Sod, and it was one action packed game. The return of Median Sod superstar, Fievel Mousekewitz began as the perfect come back. After holding the Gorgers guards at bay for a few rushes Fievel quickly sunk a 4 point strike taking the team to an early lead. Gorgers MVPs, the Praetorian and Number 88 were a constant threat, however the game seemed to fall on the side of the Veer-myn. with only half the game done the Medina Sod were set to white wash the Gorgers. With Henry Du-ken lined up for a shot, he missed but the ball was recovered by Mousekewitz. Just as he was about to score a 3 pointer the ball shattered and new ball relaunched at the half way line.
The game continued from there with constant scattering and a late rush from a Praetorian/88 tag team nearly tying up the game. But the game concluded +4 to the BeauBro Medina Sod.

Round Two
The start of round two saw a bidding war commence for MVPs. The Judwan team picked up Buzzcut for 16mc and Reek Rolat for 9mc, splashing out big with their earnings. Meanwhile the Red Gut Gorgers picked up the Praetorian for 11mc (bargain) and Number 88 for 13mc, watch out for this team in the next round. Finally the Enforcer played yesterday's game alongside corporation team the Gladatorian DBC, costing a nice 16mc.
GDBC played home team the Mega City Caesers in a slow and tense match which ending in a +3 score in the last rush for the Zees.
Matches yet to be played in round two include the Gorgers verses Medina Sod, with fully fit Fievel. Forgers verses Dinos and Speedsters taking on Judwans. Game on.

Day One
With 11th and 12th hour teams showing up for the season kick off... the season kicked off with style, death and whitewashes a plenty. Judwans hammered the Flame Fist Forgers +7 but at the cost of one other their own. Number 11 Jawn Solo died in game, his body was recycled.
In the 2nd game of the season opener the Central City Speedster took on the Red Gut Gorgers. Like the Judwans the Speedsters won +7 but Number 5 Jesse Chambers died in game but due to the wonders of modern medicine he made a complete recovery and will most likely return next game.
The final game of opening day saw fan favourites the BeauBro Medina Sod take on a 2nd Corporation team, the Gladiatorian Dreadball Team, and in a constant back and forth just snatch a +3 victory. However Medina Sod hero, legend and all round good guy Fievel Mousekewitz was killed in the 1st rush of the game. This tragic slam saw the remaining Medina Sod go on a revenge filled killing spree with both guards taking out a Corporate human. But fans rejoice as the Medina Sod spend no expense and have Mousekewitz revived to his full potential giving him the nickname Lazarus.
Lets hope todays games are a sign of things to come.

Pre-Season is well underway
As the pre-season games for the SoulStorm Brew Super Series gets underway it is is showing a few interesting prospects for the league. Both the Central City Speedsters and the BeauBro Medina Sod have shown some excellent promise. Both have crushed opponents with +7 victories and a few stars have begun to shine. Medina Sod Guard, Tyson Michaels, fatally injured two Forge Father Guards in the opening rush of their tussle. We will be keeping an eye on him and his team come opening day of the SoulStorm Brew Super Series.
